Michael Drake engages undergraduates pursuing summer internships at UCDC Center

Washington, D.C., July 14, 2005

Chancellor Michael Drake recently sat down with UCI students who are spending the summer in Washington, D.C. In one of his first opportunities to meet face-to-face with students since beginning his tenure, Drake discussed his excitement for the campus’s future and listened as students shared their background and UCI experiences.

The students are participating in the UCDC summer internship program, which brings students from University of California campuses directly to the nation’s capital, where each gains hands-on experience with local internships – at sites ranging from government agencies and congressional offices to think tanks and nonprofit organizations.
